Keys to My Teaching Success

Teaching the kids who are in front of me. The goal is for them to make a year or more of growth in a year's time and that's what I did. I focused especially on strategies and materials to improve student reading skills.

Who or What Inspires Me

My students' growth inspires me to keep going every day. Principal Mauri Friestleben has inspired how I carry myself in the classroom and the kind of energy I bring when I teach and throughout my life.

What I Love About Our School

We're truly a family! It's an energetic, upbeat, welcoming space where everyone feels a sense of belonging. 

We work together to ensure that our kids have success in both academic and social emotional learning. All staff and students work well together and strive to achieve greatness.

What I Tell My Students

Work hard. Play hard. In our class we work as hard as we can. And we celebrate our learning and our success. We fill each other's buckets.
